New Changes

October 31, 2008

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be making some policy chages at the start of the year for future clients.  We’ve learned a lot this year, tried new things and found out what really wasn’t working. Thank you to all our awesome clients from the summer/autumn session. You have all been great and I hope to be shooting the special moments of your lives for many years, turning moments into memories! So many new things are available and new marketing ideas, so though there may be minor changes, we will still be striving to offer the best of what we have at good prices and doing our best for you, our clients whom we truely treasure. Thank you for being part of this important year in the growth of CWP! Huggs to all! ~Carri

A moment captured…

October 20, 2008

While attending the invitational at my neice & nephew’s school, I saw this moment of unity and “family” that happens within a school band. Just a case of being in the right place at the right time and keeping my eyes open…  a few others too that just fueled the “creative” in me.

Proud Aunt Here

October 20, 2008

This is the first year that my sister’s children, Chris & Melanie, are in the  HIgh School Marching Band!  I just could not be any prouder! I was able to attend their home invitational this season and just wanted to cry through the whole thing…. yup, big mush here! And as MY luck would have it, circumstances did not afford opportunity for Mel to arrive in time to get her band image taken… so I got to take one (or more) of them in uniform so that they both could have one, plus one together! I just did a few quick edits, cause I wanted to brag a bit.  ..teehee!

With the Fading Golden Light on Their Faces…

October 19, 2008

…we ended the day to such a beautiful light falling across the corn fields, I could see a golden glow on the faces of Drew & Lindsey – not sure if it was sunset or just that glow you get when you are in the arms of someone you love, and they love you too.

I just wanted to say what a great time I had with both of you today! (sorry about the date mix up – but that sure worked out well!!) I decided not to post that “oh so special” shot of you Drew, so that you can surprise everyone with it at your wedding reception instead!  lol.  Oh wait, it will be in your gallery soon enough and they can see it there. I’m still laughing at it. What a great sense of humor you both have… I can’t wait to shoot your wedding! June will be here before we know it…

All The Way From Colorado!

October 19, 2008

Welcome home for the week to James anad fiance Angie! James and Angie are getting married next year and I have the honor of being their photographer! I can’t wait, cause they were such a fun couple and you could really see how well they worked as a couple. I certainly didn’t have to work hard to get those kissing shots! (you two were too cute!) We only had one day to shoot engagements so we bopped all over town as fast as I could click the shutter!
Here’s a favorite image from the end of the day…

Hey Hey it’s the Dixon’s!!

October 19, 2008

It’s feels like coming full circle, cause the Dixon’s were among the first clients we’ve had since my husband and I said “let’s go for it” and bought the camera equipment!

Kim and Shawn are more than clients though, they are more like family to Jack & I. In fact Kim was the first friend I made here in Columbus, so it’s always a pleasure to photograph this special family to our hearts. (Plus it’s pretty cool seeing my work hanging proudly on their wall too!) psst…  that 16×20 is looking awfully small don’t cha think???  lol

I love you guys! Let’s do spaghetti soon!

welcoming Harvest to their home…

October 19, 2008

I’d like to thank Todd and Lida Dickey for opening up their home to us for Lisa’s sister, Kim (and her family) to have some autumn photos on their property. It was a pleasure meeting you both, capturing a few images and meeting the family rabbit!

Meet Alyssa…

October 19, 2008

Meet Alyssa Olson, one of our 2009 seniors. What a blast we had! I really enjoyed Alyssa’s great personality and fun spirit. I think this hat just says it all!
We actually did something a bit unique for Alyssa, we split her session up into two days so that we could have this fun time doing studio shots. Not the normal session for me, but I’m really glad that we did it that way. I’m finding the studio shots, though limiting, very challenging in a good creative way!

Thanks again Alyssa for letting me photograph your senior images. Your gallery will be up soon…

new updates to the website!

October 18, 2008

I finally took the much needed time from editing to give two hours to updating the galleries on the website! Okay, two hours started at 5pm and ended about 20 minutes ago… it’s 1:27 right now. Needless to say, Stephen, the tech support guy at gate.com, are now on a first name basis, I spent so much time on the phone trying to get things to upload.

I hope you all get a chance to peek in at the “Essence” gallery for our newest senior images, and some favorite older ones I can’t bare to remove yet.

Senior Look At Me books have been delayed, and I KNOW you are all waiting patiently – well maybe not so patiently cause I know you are dying to see your books! Please be aware that we are aware that you are still waiting… we’re working on it promise. (Have I mentioned before that I hate Vista? ~ the eternal source of all my uploading issues!)

So reps, if you haven’t got your Look At Me Book (some of you have them already), send them to the website to cruise around and see. And… Target those JUNIORS!! IF you are still trying to get your 20 referrals, look outside the box! pass those cards out to underclassmen! …Maybe we’ll have to run another contest to see who can get the most junior referrals before December?? Anyone interested? :)

Well that’s about all the new news here in our little corner of the globe! Back to editing!!
